Construction

We created our ancillary pieces on powerpoint, as we had limited access to professional editing sites, however, I do believe the poster and website we created turned out effective.

We wanted to create a professional and effective looking poster to go with our film trailer to promote our film. Before we decided on our final poster, we first created multiple designs of  ideas of different ways to present our film post and then took parts from each to create our final design. We kept the title and colours consistent throughout each design helping to create a brand image and identity.

Below is an example of one design we created which gave us an idea of what our final poster should include. The title we believe should stay the same as its the main focus and eye catching part on the poster, it is also apart of the brands identity as it appears the same in the trailer keeping it consistent throughout. We also decided to keep the background colour as it helps to represent the genre of thriller and allows the title to stand out.The white writing was an issue with this poster as we believe it looks too boring and simple which wouldn't catch our audiences attention as they may not bother to read what it says.

We created a second poster which we developed from the one shown above. This one is looks more professional and includes a lot more detail/imagery relating to our film.

From the images above we developed our final poster(as shown below). The poster does contain section of the original poster however we have adjusted parts to make it more eye catching and appealing towards our target audience.

This part will show the website home pages we decided to keep, discard and how we changed our minds.

After creating many different styles we decided on our final ancillary pieces which are shown below. We incorporated section from each design to create our piece which we believe was the most effective and eye catching for our target audience.
